Hey everyone...glad to have you stop by, but I've moved to what I think is a way easier and way more user friendly place for this specific project. Will you join me there?

You can still listen in from the start, I have moved the whole beginning to the new site so that there is no break in continuity, and I think you might just like it better. Please comment and let me know what you think!

Chinese man plays near guy selling toys is playing when I get off the train today. I am looking for which exit will lead me the right way, and I wonder how much success the man selling cheap toys really has in this place. I don't see anyone buying...

The last post is the recording of my watching a group at the train stop and then walking on to my train, like most people at the station do. I took a different approach here, and stayed until the end of the piece. The classical group here is a string ensemble, 2 cellos, 6 violins, one bowed upright bass.

Initial Spark
Taking the Paris Metro daily from the brown line 11 Goncourt stop is how I make my way across Paris. Until it becomes a bright and sunny spring in Paris (when I will most definitely be riding a bike), I will start there and transfer at the Chatelet stop to get almost anywhere. Everyday at the Chatelet interchange, no matter where I'm really headed, I've been stopping to hear which music is playing in the center of this huge underground train stop. I use an audio recorder like most people use cameras, taking snapshots of the sound of a place. Chatelet is my first exercise in recording the same place daily....there are different musicians here everytime I pass. So, you've been briefed on the project...enjoy the daily links and let me know what you think. Visible Headphones is going to be much larger than this project, but it is here that it begins! Voila!
A bientot!
